Welcome to the latest edition of the Anglican Health & Community Network Newsletter. We start this edition with a request for stories.
As many who work in health and healing will know acutely, we have been experiencing huge changes and serious
challenges in global health in the last few months. As the AHCN we are increasingly aware of the effect on many Anglicans. The major cuts to US funding are having a significant impact on the capacity to deliver services, to get access to vital medication and to care for the sick. We are hearing stories of how difficult, demanding and painful this has been. We are learning more and more about the loss of staff, the disruption to supply chains, and the concerns that the situation won’t improve in
time.
Therefore, we are looking for stories of what is happening in your context and how you are coping. If you would like to share your experiences so far, please let us know: what has changed in funding, what the benefits of the funding were before, and what have been the consequences of the cuts.
We would love to be praying for you specifically and perhaps sharing your story further to encourage others and for advocacy.
